Is it Time to Make a Difference?
Integrative Coaching combines counselling skills with practical coaching strategies to support clients’ mental health, personal growth, resilience, and positive change. If you are passionate about helping others achieve a meaningful and sustainable change, this program will provide the knowledgeand skills needed to begin that journey.
Why Choose Integrative Coaching?
Life is full of complexities. Seeing a coach for guidance is a popular way to deal with the challenges of everyday life. In many instances support from a coach will provide help navigating life’s transitions, building healthier relationships, exploring new career directions, etc.
But coaching is not for everyone. Individuals who face more difficult challenges that can’t be dealt with in a coaching session may need to look deeper into mental health issues to find resolution. The coach who is also proficient in counselling can offer clients a wider exploration of their presenting problems.
KCPC’s online diploma specializing in Integrative Coaching is designed to bridge the gap between counselling and coaching; preparing students to work in the dual capacity of a counsellor and a coach.
Students enrolled in this program first learn and practice competency-based counselling skills with supervised role-plays related to mental health concerns, emotions, relationships, trauma, and ethics. Upon completion of the counselling courses students will have attained proficiency with the theories and skills required for designation as an entry-level counsellor in various professional counselling associations.
Following the counselling segment of the Diploma, students learn the theories and techniques required to practice as an entry-level coach. Integrative coaching courses, such as life skills, career planning, addictions, and group coaching provide a wide scope of coaching skills. Students build competency by conducting supervised roleplays with volunteer clients. The skills acquired in the counselling courses can be woven into the client’s coaching sessions as needed to address a client’s deeper issues. Upon completion of the coaching courses students are prepared to apply for professional designation in a variety of coaching associations.
